What things didn’t you like to eat as a child that you love to eat now now?
What things didn’t you like to eat as a child that you still don’t like to eat?

What were some of your favorite things to eat at home?
Can you show me how to make any of them?

What were some of your favorite toys or games or hobbies as a child?
Which toys do you wish you still had?

What were some of the outside or street games you played with neighbor kids?
What were the rules?

Who were some of the people who made a big difference in your life?

What were a couple of experiences that changed how you think about yourself or
changed your life in a big way?

Who were some of your best friends growing up?
What were some of your memorable adventures or things you did with them?
Do you still keep in contact with any of them?

Have you felt that you were different than most people?
Different - Special - therefore never wanting to be like others
or Different - Odd - therefore wanting to be like your friends

What are some things you suggest for making and keeping good friends?

What are some of your fond memories of your neighborhood or neighbors, growing up?

If you had a bicycle, what are a few of your adventure stories?

What life lessons did you learn from dealing with bullies in school?
Did you learn later what happen to some of the school bullies?

What did kids tease you about as a kid?
Were you ever a bully or mean to other kids?  If so, what do you think about that now?
How did it change your life?

Do you still remember any of your teachers or neighbors that changed your life in important ways.

Why do you go or not go to church / temple?
How has your view of religion changed over time?

How do you wish you treated your brother(s) or sister(s) differently when growing up?

What were some of the things you thought about or wanted to be when growing up?
(like a doctor or fireman or teacher or astronaut)

Describe the details of what your bedroom looked like when you were growing up.
How was it decorated?  What did you have hidden away?  What did you do to make it special?
Any special memories of doing things in your room?

Do you have any summer camp memories?
What are some of your favorite family trip or vacation memories?


Do you still have any of your favorite books from your childhood?  Can I read them too?  Maybe I can read one to you or with you.

Did you do any really dangerous or stupid things as a kid?
